Honey Dew Donuts® is proud to be New England’s largest locally owned donut and coffee shop chain with approximately 120 units and over 65 franchise families.

It all started in the small town of Mansfield, MA by Richard Bowen in 1973. Since then, Honey Dew has been proudly serving customers a variety of coffees, donuts, muffins, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and other beverages. Now, over forty-five years later, we are still focused on providing nothing less than the best quality, service, and cleanliness in each and every shop, every single day.

We are also committed to giving back to the communities that have helped us succeed. Our shops do so by supporting school fundraisers, getting involved with non-profit organizations and sponsoring local sports teams.

On a corporate level, Honey Dew has partnered with many incredible charities throughout the years – most recently the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Rodman Ride for Kids, Big Brothers Big Sisters and currently the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. We have also sponsored the Pawtucket Red Sox for 30 years along with the Lowell Spinners.

We also care greatly about the health and well-being of our fellow New Englanders. The Honey Dew Family Foundation, Inc. was established in 2008 and is an expansion of Richard Bowen’s passion to giving back to the community. Started by Mr. Bowen, along with his six daughters, the foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to organizations that build self-confidence and promote the health and well-being of children/adolescents and their environments.

There is also a Honey Dew Donuts Scholarship Fund which was founded in 1999, that helps local seniors and their parents offset the cost of college. Proceeds for the Scholarship Fund are raised through our Annual Golf Invitational where contributions are donated by our friends and affiliates. Scholarships are awarded to deserving graduating high school seniors in all 100 Honey Dew local franchise communities. To date, Honey Dew has awarded more than 1500 scholarships.

While our home base resides in Plainville, MA, our shops are ‘sprinkled’ throughout towns as far north as Farmington, NH and as far south as Westerly, RI with plans to grow each year.
